Summer flight dates

Since I've got them, I might as well post them: I'm going to be back in the UK from May 14th to August 12th.

Three months, close enough. What am I going to do with all that time? Well, it depends to some extent on whether I need to get a job; I'm still optimistic that I might scrape by without (though anyone with a job offer is welcome to tell me). Otherwise, well:

I'd like to get some extra-curricular work done - revise a couple of papers, do some reading;
there's some conferences I might go to;
couple of weeks doing permaculture at Glastonbury;
John's Rye weekend;
trip to visit people in Europe - Berlin, Rotterdam, Paris, Granada;
places and people to see in UK - York, Sheffield, Bristol, London, Nottingham, Glasgow, Lake District, Reading (if I must);
and y'know, general hanging round having fun.

Anything I've missed there? Anyway, point is, filling the time shouldn't be hard at all. Nor should it be hard to fill the time till I leave here. On which note, back to the essays....

Good stuff, glad to hear that you're coming back for a visit so soon. Is it just me or has your first (academic) year over there gone by really quick? Maybe I'm just getting old?

Let me know when you're planning to be in London, be good to see you!

Saw somwthing on the front of the paper that made me think of you - big advertisement "Buy one Panini, get another free".

I laughed inwardly at their gramatical innacuracy, and got some slight satisfaction from knowing that I was probably one of only the small percentage of people who spotted their glaring error! The fools!

Aye, there's nowt like spotting a mistake like that for a mild rush of smugness...

Yeah, the year's gone pretty quick; they're slightly shorter than they are in the UK, plus they start in August. Early May feels ridiculously early to be done for the year.

For sure, I'll give you a shout when I have an idea about London time. Look forward to it.

Hi Cleo, yeah, it's tough being me...

For sure, I can do some shopping for you. You seem to have disappeared from Facebook? Anyway, James has my email address, let me know what you're after and I'll get on it.
